| Born in Miami but raised in Haiti, Lara Micaelle Chrisphonte joined our staff in Mid- March as our Hope VI, Relocation Coordinator. Ms. Chrisphonte graduated from Florida International University in 1998 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Although Journalism had always been her field and passion, Ms. Chrisphonte’s love and dedication for children led her to find herself working with the Department of Children and Families as a Family Services Counselor in Miami Dade County for over 5 years until she transferred to Lee County and secured a job as a Child Welfare Case Manager.
Ms. Chrisphonte joined our staff with community experience that will enable her perform the necessary duties to facilitate a successful relocation process in line with the expectations of the HOPE VI project. Ms. Chrisphonte is Multi-lingual and speaks English, Creole and French fluently as well as conversational Spanish. This will no doubt go a long way in servicing the needs of our culturally diverse residents.
Ms. Chrisphonte is very honored to have been provided an opportunity to work within an organization with a mission to empower some of the members of our community.
